Image ACR I-CARD PROJECT

The ACR I-Card Project automates the entire process of alien registration and integrates the issuance of various paper-based alien documentations into a microchip-based identification card.

THE ACR I-CARD

The ACR I-Card is a microchip-based credit card-sized identification card issued to registered alien replacing the paper-based ACR. It has an embedded computer chip with biometric security features capable of data management and can be updated electronically.

BI hosts DOJ chief’s meet with agency heads
Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera said on Wednesday she would order all agencies under the Department of Justice (DOJ) to emulate the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in observing a no-lunch break policy for employees so as not to disrupt the delivery of services to the public.

BI, POEA ink pact vs illegal recruitment, human trafficking
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) forged an agreement to join and mobilize their forces in going after members of syndicates engaged in illegal recruitment and human trafficking.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 
  1. Effective February 15,2008 all applicants for extension (tourist visa) under the VIMS (VISA ISSUANCE MADE SIMPLE) are required to pay in addition to immigration fees, Certification fee of P500, Express fee of P500 plus Legal Research Fee of P10 for every transaction.

  2. All APPLICANTS are required to dress properly. Applicants wearing shorts, sandos, and slippers will not be allowed entry to Immigration Office. Transactions are entertained during Mondays thru Fridays, 7:00am to 5:30pm.
